Planning has been granted for the St Fintan’s Hospital campus project.
Planning permission is being granted for a €30m primary care centre in Laois.
The centre on St Fintan’s Hospital campus on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise is getting the green light, five months after planning was submitted by the HSE.
The four-storey building will house GP practices, dental and orthodontic clinics, outpatient facilities, consultant-led treatment rooms, physiotherapy and occupational therapy suites, as well as X-ray and ultrasound services.
The facility will also include group rooms for day hospital use, along with CAMHS accommodation, administrative offices, ancillary staff areas, meeting rooms, clinical and utility storage, and waiting areas.
The delivery of rooftop plant spaces, an ESB substation, and vehicular, pedestrian, and cyclist access via the existing St. Fintan’s campus road network is also in the works.
Laois County Council granted planning permission, subject to 16 conditions.
