Groups are invited to apply for a grant now.
Social enterprises in the midlands are receiving a €73,000 funding boost.
It'll provide small grants to cover the cost of capital projects such as refurbishments, repairs and the purchase of new equipment, under the government's Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme.
It's being administered by Local Community Development Committees in each Local Authority area, with approximately €25,000 each available in Westmeath, Laois and Offaly.
The Department of Rural and Community Development is now inviting social enterprises across the midlands to apply for the funding.
