The build is expected to commence mid 2027.
The people tasked with delivering a new swimming pool for an Offaly town are preaching patience ahead of a long journey.
After a fire gutted destroyed the original pool in Edenderry in January last year, funding of €8.9m was secured to deliver a new facility.
A tender is currently out for a design architect, with a construction tender to follow in 2026.
Building on the Blundell site in the town isn't expected to begin until mid 2027.
