Eighty Two Year Old Westmeath Man Among 25 To Recover From Covid-19

The former soldier says he felt it was like a death sentence initially.

A former soldier from Westmeath is comparing his experience battling coronavirus to time spent fighting in the Congo.  

82 year old Tom Gunn from Mullingar says the virus was more daunting than being involved in the Siege of Jadotville because you can't see the enemy. 

He is one of twenty-five people in the country known to have successfully recovered from the illness.
