Electric Picnic - Everything You Need To Know

Attending the Stradbally festival this weekend? We've broken it down for you.

Electric Picnic returns to Laois this weekend.

With over 70,000 people expected to attend the three-day Stradbally festival. 

The last time the event was held was in 2019. 

Here's everything you need to know:

LINE-UP

Dermot Kennedy, Megan Thee Stallion, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Picture This and Snow Patrol will take over the main stage as the festival's headline acts.

Mullingar band The Academic, Hudson Taylor, The Coronas and Disclosure will also be performing over the three days.

The record crowd attending this year's Electric Picnic is being reminded there's much more to offer than just music.

Hugo Jellett, curator of Freetown, explains what's available away from the main stage:

THE COMEDY TENT

Dylan Moran and David O' Doherty will headline Electric Picnic's Comedy Tent this year.

Also included in the lineup is Offaly's Neil Delamere, Diana Doherty and Shane Todd.

Bingo Loco frontman Adam Burke will MC this year's events.

TRENCHTOWN

Cian Finn and DJ Wax will headline The Trenchtown line-up.

Also featured is Stevie G and The Skalps.

THE SALTY DOG

'The Salty Dog' returns for to the Stradbally festival and is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

Renowned performers 'Riptide Movement' and 'Hamsandwich' are among the artists, with 30 acts set to take to the 'salty' stage.

Leo Varadkar will be among the festival goers at EP

The Tánaiste said he hopes to attend at least one day this weekend.

He was disappointed the festival didn't go ahead last year:

We wouldn't miss Ireland's biggest festival.

Roy Jennings will bring Drive Time to the Picnic on Friday from 3pm - 7pm

Peter Dunne will host Feel Good Saturday from 11am - 2pm

And Lorraine McCormack will round out the weekend with The Sunday Shine from 12pm - 2pm
