Electric Picnic Organisers Post €2.4m Profit Despite Cancelled Festival

It follows an insurance payout of more than €3.6 million.

The organisers of Electric Picnic enjoyed a multi-million euro profit in 2020 - despite the festival being cancelled.

The Irish Times reports that EP Republic made a profit of nearly €2.4 million.

It follows an insurance payout on the cancelled event of more than €3.6 million.

The year's profit was up 50 per cent on 2019, when the Laois festival was last staged and generated €17 million for the company.

EP returns to Stradbally from 2nd to 4th September.
