Electric Picnic To Be Powered By Renewable Energy

The grid power will ultimately reduce carbon emissions.

Electric Picnic has been granted planning permission to build a new ESB substation.

The development will see its main stage powered by renewable energy this year.

Festival Republic says the project will mark the transition of the outdoor live sector to renewable power.

It also say the grid power will ultimately reduce carbon emissions associated with powering the main stage.

The massive festival returns to Stradbally earlier than usual this year, from August 16th to 18th.
