Electric vehicle demand is continuing in the Midlands with a rise in EV registrations.
According to the latest figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, the number of new electric vehicles being bought in Westmeath is up 77% in the year to June, it's up 73% in Offaly, and 68% in Laois.
New car registrations in the Midlands also recorded 1.5% growth despite a 9.7% fall in national June sales.
