Enterprise Minister Identifies Energy As Biggest Driver Of Business Costs

Longford-Westmeath TD Peter Burke says supports for energy-intensive firms could be considered in the Budget.

Energy has been identified as the biggest driver of business costs in a new Government report.


The Government-established Cost of Business Advisory Forum has made 63 recommendations aimed at reducing costs and improving competitiveness.


Among them is a call to examine a new scheme to cut energy prices for large, energy-intensive businesses.
