Environment Minister Says Appeal Of ESB Planning Decision Wouldn't Succeed

It's after planning permission to extend its operations beyond 2020 was rejected by An Bord Pleanála.

The Environment Minister says ESB didn't appeal a rejected planning application which will lead to the closure of two power stations in the midlands.

The plants in West Offaly and Lough Ree in Longford will stop generating electricity at the end of next year.
