The National Ploughing Championship's attracted over 243,000 visitors this year.

Organisers are reflecting on the best bits of the National Ploughing Championship's last year in Offaly.

Europe's largest otudoor agri event is staying in the Midlands with Boherkill Farm in Rathangan set to host in 2027.

Organisers of the event made the announcement, following the wrap up in Screggan in Tullamore yesterday.

Organisers say 243,000 people attended the three day festival, an increase of nearly 20,000 in footfall compared to last year.
