EU Leaders To Meet Tomorrow To Discuss Israel - Gaza Conflict

27 member states have jointly condemned the actions of Hamas.

European Union leaders are to meet tomorrow at a video conference summit to discuss the conflict between Israel and Gaza.

It comes after the 27 member states of the European Council jointly condemned the actions of Hamas, calling on it to immediately release all Israeli hostages.

Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly says it's also vital humanitarian aid gets through to Gaza:

Efforts are being made to bring around 40 Irish citizens in Gaza to safety.

Israel is preparing to launch a offensive "by air, land and sea" after a million people living in northern Gaza were told to travel south.

A border crossing in Egypt is expected to open this morning for aid and foreign nationals to pass through, after being delayed over the weekend.
