EU Proposes Tighter Social Media Rules For Under-15s

The EU Kids Act would restrict Under 15s from opening a social media account with consent.

The European Commission will be outlining details of its plans to restrict children's access to social media this week.

The EU Kids Act will mean children under the age of 15 won't be able to open a social media account without express consent from their parent or guardian.

Under 13s will only be able to access a child friendly alternative platform.
