Ireland won't be participating at next year's Eurovision Song Contest.
The European Broadcasting Union's decisions about who can participate in the Eurovision comes down to money and audience figures.
That's according to the Author of 'What's Another Year' Eurovision book, Mountmellick's Mick Lynch, after RTE confirmed Ireland willl not be participating in next year's Eurovision.
The State broadcaster is also boycotting showing the 2027 competition, in which Israel is due to compete.
The EBU’s decision to allow Israel to compete is prompting questions, in light of Russia’s exclusion following its invasion of Ukraine.
