Sales of electric vehicles in the midlands continue to soar.
The latest report from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry shows that to the year to date, all three midlands counties saw significant increases in new EV sales.
Westmeath saw the biggest jump from 153 last year to 237 this year.
Offaly is next, going from 92 to 137.
And electric vehicle sales increased in Laois by 48 per cent, from 123 in 2022 to 182 over the same time period this year.
