Fair Pricing Not Food Ombudsman The Answer To Farmers Problems

The National Party say the will introduce the legislation if it's candidates are elected.

The National Party say they will introduce fair pricing legislation to the dail to help rural farmers.

It follows a series of protests by farmers in Dublin over the price they are receiving for their beef.  

Their Longford/Westmeath candidate James Reynolds says the farmer's he's meeting are on their knees and something needs to be done to help them immediately. 

He says the introduction of a food ombudsman is not the answer:
