A Tipperary farmer's 550km solo walk for mental health awareness is set to take him through the midlands.
John Wallace will trek from West Cork to Cavan, passing though Offaly on the Beara-Breifne Way.
The route spans eight counties and includes mountain trails, cross-country paths, and rural roads, averaging over 30km a day without a support team.
His mission is to honour his late father, William Wallace, who died by suicide in 2015.
Over 82% of Irish farmers know someone lost to suicide.
