Farmers Gathering To Discuss Impact Of Flooding

They are holding an information event this evening.

Farmers impacted by flooding along the Shannon Callows are set to gather in the midlands today.

The Save Our Shannon Organisation is hosting an information evening in Lukers Bar in Shannonbridge at 7.30pm this evening.

The impact of last year's summer floods, which the group says is the worst in living memory, and fodder loss is due to be high on the agenda.

PRO for the organisation, Liam Broderick, says not all farmers have received a letter with the level of compensation they'll be issued as a result of the floods:
