Fianna Fail Advising Sinn Fein ''To Take Its Place In Opposition''

Laois-Offaly TD Barry Cowen says he wouldn't entertain the prospect of going into government with Sinn Féin.

A midlands TD lining up for government says he would advise Sinn Féin to take its place in the opposition.

Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil have produced a joint policy framework, and are looking for a smaller party to come onboard to join them in a coalition government.

But Laois-Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen says he wouldn't entertain the prospect of going into government with Sinn Féin, if approached by constituency colleague Brian Stanley.

Deputy Cowen feels they need to get a government and Taoiseach in place as soon as possible:
