In the 2025 rankings, the midlands region has climbed six places, to secure 2nd position in Europe in the Small European Regions category for FDI Strategy.
The list recognises the region's performance in attracting foreign direct investment and its roadmap for continued economic growth.
Enterprise Minister, and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke says the midlands offers "incredible" opportunities for inward investment and business growth.
