Fine Gael is reprising a 2017 catch phrase about working for people "who get up early in the morning".
Offaly TD John Clendennen is opposed to increasing Jobseekers Allowance at the same rate as social welfare payments for pensions and disabilities.
He believes the State should avoid offering incentives and rewards for people who are long term unemployed.
