Portarlington Fire Brigade attended a woodland fire at Derryounce lake on Saturday after it was found smouldering overnight.
The blaze was discovered by volunteers and firefighters contained the fire before it spread further.
Visitors are being urged to obey all signage at Derryounce, including the ban on BBQs and naked flames, to help protect lives, wildlife and the local environment.
