UNIFIL peacekeepers will be withdrawn from Lebanon after 2027 if a UN Security Council vote passes today.
Israel can't be trusted when it comes to the future of South Lebanon.
That's according to a former Army Ranger as the UN Security Council prepares to vote on retaining UNIFIL peacekeeping in the region today.
The mission is expected to be renewed until 2027, which will be followed by an orderly and safe withdrawal over the following year.
The Israeli government says it will scale back its military presence in Lebanon if it's armed forces can disarm and eliminate Hezbollah.
