Former Ireland Rugby Captain Leading Cancer Charity Walk Through Midlands

The 300km walk will raise funds for a new cancer retreat.

A Ireland former Ireland rugby captain will be leading a cancer charity walk through the midlands.

Rory Best will walk 300km from the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, through Portlaoise, to his final destination in Mayo.

The 128 times capped Ulster man is walking to raise funds for the construction of 'Daisy Lodge', a cancer retreat for children in Cong.

Best will be joined on his fundraising stops by former Ireland team mates, Paul O'Connell and Conor Murray.
