A free community health and well-being event is taking place in Laois today.
Age Friendly Ambassador and NPA managing director, Anna May McHugh is opening the event which will have a wide variety of panel speakers, from health specialists to community well being persons.
The event takes place in Portlaoise Library from 2 pm to 4pm and will also have health screenings for those who want to partake.
Tamara Latham,Regional Literacy Coordinator for LOETB says the panel is aimed toward older members of our community but will have information for everyone.
