Funding is being approved for Laois County Council under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.
Minister Kevin "Boxer" Moran has announced funding for flood mitigation and coastal protection works at Brittas Stream, Clonaslee.
Under the scheme, the OPW has approved funding of €27,000 for pre-construction works, which will include an Appropriate Assessment screening of the stream/culvert, culvert design and hydrological modelling for the area.
