Almost €300,000 is being provided nationally.
Over €21,000 is being allocated to conserve and revitalise raised and blanket midlands bogs.
Nationally, the Peatlands Community Engagement Scheme is providing €290,000 in funding to 24 community groups and organisations.
Over €10,000 is going to Offaly, for the 'Bog Trotters Festival' in Clara and a feasibility study at Clonbeale More Bog, while Milltownpass Tidy Towns in Westmeath will get just over €8,500 for the developing the bog and woodland trail and €2,500 is being given tor the National Association of Regional Game Councils in Laois.
