Offaly's Cathal Nolan, who runs Ireland's Weather Channel on Facebook, has set up a Go Fund Me Page to raise €5,000 so he can upgrade his equipment.
The Rhode man started delivering forecasts over 10 years ago on social media and has now over 82,000 followers.
He says the money will help him expand the services he provides:
