Funeral For Teen Killed In M9 Crash Taking Place Today

He was among five teenage boys who died in the incident.

The funeral for one of the five teenagers killed in an M9 crash in Kildare is taking place this morning. 

18-year-old Jeremy O’Brien, from Burrin Manor in Carlow, is being laid to rest following Funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church in Askea at 11am. 

He was among five teenage boys who died after the car they were travelling in travelled the wrong way along the M9 and collided head-on with another vehicle in the early hours of Sunday August 16th. 

Three sisters and a young boy travelling in the other car sustained serious injuries.
