Further Lidl Expansion With 20 New Stores By 2024

The German retailer announced massive plans for its Mullingar base last month.

Lidl is to open 20 stores in Ireland over the next three years.

The German supermarket chain says the expansion is part of a €550 million investment into its operations here.

24 existing stores will be redeveloped and its regional distribution centre in Mullingar will be given a €75 million upgrade, as announced last month.

Lidl currently has 160 stores nationwide and employs more than 5,000 people.
