A man in his 30s is being held following a cross border investigation.
Investigations into terrorism related activities continue this morning following the arrest of a third man in Laois in a week.
The man in his 30s was detained yesterday as part of a joint operation by the Gardaí and PSNI in the Midlands.
He was taken to a Garda station in the region under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be held for up to 48 hours.
It's part of the same cross border investigation which saw two men appear in court on explosive charges last Friday.
