A vehicle caused a crash in Athlone last Thursday before continuing towards Birr.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after dangerous driving led to a crash in Westmeath.
Investigators say a 2017 light brown/golden coloured vehicle was driving dangerously near Athlone on the N62 in Fardrum before it collided with another vehicle.
After the crash the light brown vehicle continued driving Southbound in the direction of Birr.
The incident took place on Thursday the 5th of June, between 7.30pm ,and 7.45pm.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is being asked to contact Athlone Garda Station.
