It happened at around 8 o'clock yesterday evening in Abbeyleix.
A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Laois.
The incident occured at around 8pm yesterday evening on the N77 in Abbeyleix.
The man, who was in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and has since been brought to the mortuary at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
The road from Main Street in Abbeyleix to Tonduff Cross on the Portlaoise Road has now reopened after a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area 7pm and 8pm, and has any camera footage to contact Abbeyleix Garda Station.
