They're appealing for witnesses to both incidents.

Gardaí are investigating two separate incidents which occurred in a midlands town overnight.

A number of young people were involved in the theft of a silver Audi from a driveway in Boyne Meadows at around 3am in the morning.

Gardaí say they left in the direction of the Dublin Road towards Carbury.

Around an hour earlier, at 2am, the front door of a house in Rectory Meadows was damaged after an item was thrown at it.

Anyone with any information in relation to either incident is being asked to contact Tullamore or Edenderry Garda Station.
