Gardaí responded to a call on the Westmeath border this morning.
Gardaí are investigating the fatal assault of a woman in her 20s in Athboy, County Meath today.
Gardaí responded to a call of an unresponsive woman in a house in the Rathmore area in the early hours of this morning.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, which is currently preserved for forensic and technical examination.
A man aged in his 30s was later arrested at a different location and is currently detained in Ashbourne Garda Station.
