A man in his 20's has been arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
Gardaí have seized a quantity of suspected illegal drugs during the course of a search of a residence in Westmeath.
During the course of that operation, cannabis, diazepam and various items of drugs and paraphernalia were discovered.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the investigation, and detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda station in Westmeath.
He has since been charged, and appeared before Athlone District Court yesterday morning.
