Gardaí Raid Illegal Pub

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Alcohol and bar equipment has been seized in Athy after Gardai raided an illegal pub.

Officers discovered the suspected shebeen yesterday evening after being alerted through social media.

They say they found a fully operational bar in a repurposed state, fitted with bar stools, a 70 inch flat screen TV and a pool table.

Gardai seized five beer kegs, a significant amount of spirits, bottled beers and bar equipment.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
