Midlands Women Crowned Super Hosts For Hospice Fundraising

Three women across the Midlands are being highlighted for their longtime fundraising efforts for their local hospices.

Three Midlands women have won a national Super Host Award from Together for Hospice for their longstanding volunteering efforts.

Siobhán Smyth Dwyer from Birr has been hosting coffee morning for 13 years for Offaly Hospice Foundation, after the death of one of her closest friends who passed away from a brain tumour.

While Sinéad Neilan helps to coordinate events for South Westmeath Hospice through her role as Wellbeing co-ordinator for Moate Community School.

And Mullingar's Marie Kiernan has been fundraising for North Westmeath Hospice since its foundation over 30 years ago.

The presentation of awards took place at a special ceremony in St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
