The discovery was in made on Sunday after searching a property in Portlaoise.
Nearly €300,000 worth of drugs and guns have been seized by Gardaí in Laois.
Large quantities of suspected cannabis herb, a small quantity of suspected cannabis resin, cocaine and MDMA as well as a sawn-off shotgun and ammunition were seized following the search of a property in Portlaoise on Sunday afternoon.
Gardaí attached to the Laois Drugs Unit conducted a search of the property as part of Operation Tara.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at a Garda station in the Eastern Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
