Gardaí Suspect Dublin Crime Gang Member Over Midlands Double Stabbing

A man with severe facial injuries was dumped outside Longford Town Garda Station on Monday night.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses to Monday's incident.

Gardaí believe a convicted criminal who only recently returned to the country is the orchestrator behind a violent double stabbing in a Midlands Town earlier this week.

Two men in their 30s and 20s were left with serious injuries following the savage double attack involving a Dublin gang in Longford town on Monday Night.

The Irish Independent is reporting gardaí are focusing their efforts on establishing a motive behind the attack and have identified a prime suspect.

A convicted criminal who recently returned to Ireland following a spell overseas has previously come onto the radar of local law enforcement for his involvement in organised crime.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses asking any road users who may have camera footage, and were travelling in the area of Teffia Park, in Longford Town, at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
