Government Confident Midlands Schools Will Re-Open This Month

The recent localised restrictions have stoked concern over school resuming.

The Tánaiste says the government is confident schools in Kildare, Laois and Offaly can re-open this month, despite a spike in Covid 19 cases.

The three counties are facing increased restrictions until the end of next week following a spike in coronavirus infections.

Minister for Enterprise Leo Varadkar says there's no suggestion they'll be treated any differently when it comes to plans for re-opening schools:
