The Irish Road Victims Association is making the call after attending a roundtable discussion at Leinster House.
The Government need to get serious about road safety as it's a national emergency.
That's according to the Irish Road Victims Association which took part in a policy roundtable on the matter at Leinster House yesterday organised by the Labour Party.
The group, founded by Mullingar's Donna Price in 2012, presented recommendations including an Independent Road Safety Commissioner, better use of technology and AI to identify risks before tragedies occur and more support for road traffic victims and their families.
