Government Non-Committal On Start Date For Works At Laois Special School

An eight classroom building was approved for Kolbe Special School earlier this year.

The government is refusing to be drawn on a start date for works at Kolbe Special School in Portlaoise. 

An eight classroom building was approved for planning and construction earlier this year.

Members of Laois County Council requested a definitive timeframe from Education Minister Norma Foley in April. 

But speaking on the Midlands Today Show, Minister of State with responsibility for Special Education, Josepha Madigan was non-committal:
