Children in Laois and Offaly have the longest waiting times for a dental check in the country.
The Government should be ashamed of the waiting list in the midlands for children accessing dental care.
Laois Offaly Independent TD Carol Nolan is making the comments after the Irish Dental Association revealed two midlands counties rank the lowest in Ireland.
Children in Laois are not receiving the first of their three dental checks until they are in their fourth year of secondary school, while the situation in Offaly reveals that they are not being seen until second year.
