The leader of Aontú is making the comments as nine tolls increased yesterday.
Aontú is calling on the government to postpone the hike in road tolls.
Nine tolls increased in price yesterday, ranging from 10 to 30 cent per vehicle.
The increases were due to come in to effect at the start of the year, but were delayed.
Peadar Tóibín, Meath West TD and leader of Aontú, claims these toll increases are all part of a Green Party agenda to get people out of their cars:
