Group Opposed To Offaly Direct Provision Centre Planning Protest This Week

Asylum seekers are due to arrive in Tullamore next month.

The Facebook group Tullamore Says No To Inhumane Direct Provision is planning a protest in the town this weekend.

A new direct provision centre is to house 168 asylum seekers at the former Marian Hostel from next month.

Concerns have been raised by councillors and members of the public about the impact the arrivals will have on local healthcare services.
