Nature and tourism amenities in Laois, Offaly, and Westmeath are in line for new funding.
Three Midlands counties have been granted nearly €500k to aid a range of outdoor development projects.
Proposed developments include new signage in the Slieve Blooms in Laois, an additional loop walk on the Edenderry Grand Canal in Offaly and a new nature trail in Ballymore in Westmeath.
A total figure of €16,501,103 has been awarded by the Outdoor Recreation Fund nationwide.
