He hopes to see the staff authorised soon.
The Health Minister has confirmed the staff needed for a much-needed MRI Scanner at Regional Hospital Mullingar has been sanctioned.
The vital equipment was installed last year, but additional staff were needed before it could be operated.
The scanner was subject to a long-standing campaign from the Friends of Mullingar Hospital, which fundraised over €1 million.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says it will take time for the hospital to authorise the hiring of the staff:
