Additional bed have been opened to help the hospital cope with an influx of patients, with many facing long waiting times.
Anyone with non urgent cases are being encouraged to seek care elsewhere, such as local injury units, pharmacies and GPs.
Patients who require urgent care will be prioritised and are asked to still present at the ED.
