Higher Construction Costs May Worsen Housing Crisis

Rising costs will affect private and public building projects.

Increasing construction costs will have a knock on effect in the private house building industry, as well as in public capital investment projects.

That's according to the Director of Western and Midlands region in the Construction Industry Federation, Justin Molly.

He's also calling for a reform of public works contracts to allow for public bodies to sanction purchase of materials at higher prices.
